About Us

As a Medical Assistant at Levin Dermatology, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality dermatological care. This patient-focused role is ideal for premedical students seeking hands-on experience and mentorship to strengthen their path toward medical school.

Position Overview

  • Assist with patient care by scribing, conducting intake interviews, and preparing patients for procedures

  • Shadow and assist dermatological procedures and surgeries

  • Coordinate patient appointments and maintain medical records

  • Participate in clinical and administrative tasks, including inventory management and equipment sterilization

  • Engage in educational opportunities, such as seminars, case studies, and conferences

Key Responsibilities

This position is designed to provide premedical students with:

  • Mentorship from Dr. Cheryl Levin, an experienced clinician

  • Opportunities to shadow procedures and attend medical conferences

  • Seminars and case discussions led by dermatologists

  • Networking opportunities with medical students, residents, and healthcare professionals

Educational Benefits

  • Bachelor’s degree with premedical coursework completed

  • Intention to pursue an MD or MD-PhD program post-tenure

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Previous patient care or clinical experience (e.g., EMT, scribe, or research assistant) is highly preferred but not required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Full-time, 12- or 24-month commitment

  • Location: Levin Dermatology, Newton, MA

  • 40 hours/week guaranteed with flexible vacation time as needed for medical school interviews

  • Paid position to start immediately after graduation
